Review: Rascal Bum Rush Anal Plug
While anal sex has always interested me my encounters with it have left me with a feeling that perhaps it should be left to porn and not for me. While the first time was great the rest seemed to not be as enjoyable to me. It hurt. It felt uncomfortable. I’m not sure why really, all the same preparation was there. Lube, oral, going slow, more lube. Perhaps it’s because it’s not something that I’m used to so I get so overworked mentally that I tense and make it hurt.
Over the past few months I’ve become quite interested and turned on by the thought of anal sex again. Of course I have hesitations and wonder how porn actresses can do it so often in a video, and then it hit me. Perhaps I’m just not ready or ‘trained’ for lack of a better word yet, that I need get my body used to such things.
To help with this endeavor I decided to go with the Rascal Bum Rush Anal Plug. It’s a big toy standing 6” in length from base to tip, 5.75” insertable, and a 2” diameter at its largest point in the middle. Needless to say it’s pretty proportionate to the average cock or dildo size, which is why I chose it. I wanted something that would help ease me into my desires and I felt that this might be a fit. Of course I could have chosen to use a regular dildo, but there is the fun in that?

Using the plug was a bit of a challenge due to its size, but after enough lube, patience, and a few self pep talks I was able to insert the whole plug. That should be worth a cupcake or two. Needless to say that once it was in I was fine, in fact I was pretty turned on.
The base of the plug is shaped like a circle with little give. This design does not make for the best in terms of comfort if you want to wear the plug long term, sit with it, or anything else really as it pushes your cheeks apart a bit. Not many designers think about that issue though.
Despite that little problem I had no other issues or problems with the plug. It stayed in quite well with no ‘popping out’ moments. No noticeably felt seams in the silicone. The size is filling and seems to be perfect as a warm up toy and trainer for when I decide to give anal a go again.
Clean up was easy, but sort of a pain as the silicone retained that ass smell until I washed it six times with hot soapy water and toy cleaner. Not a big issue unless you were grumpy and in need of a latte like I was. At least in the end the toy didn’t retain the smell, which is always a super awesome quality.
Overall the Rascal plug was an awesome choice for me, but not something I would recommend to those just starting out with anal play. Go with something a bit smaller and work your way up, or buy the Rascal and just take it slow and listen to your body.

Great review. The Rascal Bum Rush is a brilliant toy. However, I think you make insertion sound a bit easier than I found it at first. Previously I’d only ever gone up to 1.75″ using a conventional butt plug. The bulbous nature of the Bum Rush, it’s maximum girth of slightly over 2″ and the lack of gentle taper means that it’s a real stretch.
Yes, you need a lot of lube, but also a lot of patience. I needed to work up to it over several sessions/days before I was ready for the full stretch. The first time it when in was amazing but I yelped and needed it out immediately. However, subsequent attempts progressively got me more accustomed and my holding time grew from seconds to minutes to more than an hour.
As you state, there is absolutely no danger of the plug coming out. (Unlike the Rascal Rim Raider that will not stay inside me due to its curved/angled neck.) The Bum Rush is amazingly filling and satisfying.
I appreciate you taking the time to leave your experience with this plug as well. I can only speak for myself so another point of view on how someone else handled it is quite helpful to anyone else who takes the time to read the comment section.
Patience, determination, and lube seemed to be my theme as well but once it was in I was able to keep it in. I’m sure if I would have taken it out I would have had to start all over again!

One of the nice things about wearing it for a while is that it does have the tendency to milk me. My next goal is to wear it whilst making love. I’m expecting that it will intensify thrusts and orgasm.
