Photos In Reviews
January 10, 2012
Adriana pointed me to a thread she created on EdenFallacys where the basic jist was about photos in reviews, how many was too many, that sort of thing. Since then it’s left me pondering some questions since I generally make an attempt to put photos in my own reviews.
- Do you enjoy when I include photos in my reviews?
- Any suggestions for my photos?
- How many photos for a review is too many?
- What types of photos do you like in a review?
- Would you rather click on thumbnails to a bigger version, slideshow scroll, or see strategic placement?
- Any other opinion on photos and reviews?
I’d love it if you’d take the time to answer my questions

I can’t stand when people don’t include photos in a review. Sure you can talk about it and describe it, but the product pictures don’t always show what a product *really* looks like. Plus if someone’s holding it or it’s beside something you can get a better idea for size. I think it’s also great to include videos for things that do weird things, like rabbits, to see how it moves.
I didn’t think about videos, but I may consider them more in the future. I know I did one for a lingerie review to show the strap problem. Thanks for the idea!
I love your photos. Envy them, in fact. Too many would be, I guess, if you’re showing the same thing twice? I like artsy photos. I’m cool with thumbnails that link to bigger ones.
This just totally made my day.
