Review: O2 Revolution

July 29, 2010

When you immerse yourself in the sex-toy reviewing world you are bound to hear rants and raves for everyone’s favorite products and brands. After hearing a lot about the O2 Revolution by Tantus I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to test it out.

Pictures just do not do this dildo justice. I was impressed from the moment my hands touched it upon opening the packaging. With its Pure Skin soft outer layer and firm core duel density design the O2 Revolution is tons of fun to play with. I loved the squishiness enough to let out a girly giggle.

Now in case you haven’t noticed the 02 Revolution is HUGE. I’m not lying. With 7” of insert-able length, the head measures a little over 2” in diameter at its widest point and tapers down to about 1.75”. Definitely NOT for beginners but it pleases the size queen in me.

It is harness compatible as it features a flared base. The best fit that I found was a 1.7” rubber o-ring, but I had to really lube up the head and stretch the ring over it and from there it glided easily down the shaft. You could use a 2” o-ring but in my experience it left the O2 Revolution a bit floppy.  Not very fun to compare cock sizes with Maverick and say, “Oh mines bigger than yours!”  yet have it be all floppy mcgee that points downward.

The O2 Revolution has a veiny design which really adds to the aesthetic appeal, as if the icy blue frost coloring didn’t wow you already. I couldn’t feel the design once inserted and while it may disappoint some, I personally could care less.

If I had to find one thing to complain about it would be the weight. It’s only half a pound but it honestly feels quite a bit heavier. Either way the weight made it a bit difficult to self-thrust with for long periods of time as my arms got tired quickly.

While the material isn’t as soft as cyberskin it still feels pretty realistic. It is made of 100% Premium-Grade Silicone and unlike cyberskin the  O2 Revolution is hypoallergenic, phthalates-free, non-toxic, and of course easy to sterilize for sharing. One of my biggest concerns was how to clean the material. Since I’ve never owned a Pure Skin dildo it was something I had to research. So I’m going to save you some of the trouble I had.

Unlike cyberskin materials you do not have to powder the O2 Revolution after you wash it.  That right there is reason enough to sell your soul and buy this dildo. It can be cleaned just like your other silicone dildos, 10% bleach solution, afterglow, boiled for 3-5 minutes, top-rack no-soap dishwasher cycle, or any other toy-cleaning solution of your choice. Hell even a soap and water rinse will do.

I’ve read that the material will not melt if it comes into contact with an incompatible material (silicone lubricant, other silicone toys, etc). In my experience this holds up to be true but I like to err on the side of caution and only use water based lubricants and store it away from other silicone toys in case they develop a chemical reaction instead.

It may not be my go to dildo for every day play due to its size but the O2 Revolution has captured my heart. The material makes me melt and I wish more dildos featured the high quality dual density design. So if you haven’t tried it out already and want something a bit more filling than your normal toys definitely pick up the O2 Revolution. If you’re not ready for the size you can check out the O2 Niagara which has a 1.25” shaft diameter instead.

A beauty to look at, and I’m very curious about the feel. Another dildo to want. 😉

I still haven’t tried this one, but I’m in love with VixSkin for similar reasons. It kind-of makes regular silicone seem obsolete…

I definitely want the Niagara. The material looks awesome, and I love blue.
