bSwish Bcuirous $80.00 from PinkCherry.com

The bSwish Bcurious was on the list of toys that I was dying to have. It is aesthetically pleasing with the beautiful black matte silicone over plastic and hot pink silicone accents, which totally compliments the traditional Dutch wooden clog like design. Some people have compared the design to a slug, but that is a bit gross and unfitting to me so wooden clog it is.

Just under 4.5” long and 1.5″ wide, this clitoral stimulator is incredibly lightweight.  The curving shape allows you to grasp it quite comfortably. On the underside there is a slight valley which seems to be made for your finger to press against to add stability. Like the wooden clog it has a rounded bottom with a slightly raised broad end where the controls can be found (think the foot hole of a shoe) and curls up to a pointy vibrations end.

I’ve read that the ideal use for the Bcurious is to place the curve of the pointed tip around the mons to allow the tip to stimulate the clitoris. This is ideal for anyone who likes lightweight pinpoint type vibrations. Since the material of the Bcurious is quite hard I wouldn’t advice using a lot of pressure as it can be quite painful due to the unyielding material.  Personally I didn’t find the whole sharp point to my clitoris method as pleasurable as flipping it over to use the broad underside. My way seemed to spread out the buzzy type vibrations over my clitoris more without being painful if I rubbed into it.

The Bcurious has three constant vibration settings (low, medium, high) and four patterns. The patterns are escalation, fast pulse, even faster pulse, and short-short-short-long pulse. The Bcurious isn’t quiet, but it isn’t so loud that it can be heard through a closed door. Think of an electric toothbrush.

I’m not sure how to describe the Bcurious’s vibration strength. I don’t want to say it’s weak, but I can’t quite call it strong either.  On a scale of 1-10 I’d probably rate them a 4, which isn’t too bad for a clitoral stimulator. For me the highest setting compares to fifth strength on the Lelo Siri and medium to high on the Layaspot.

There’s a little port on the side for the charging cord, which is covered by an attached silicone plug to keep fluids out. The charger plugs into this port and perpendicularly the blue LED light around the controls will pulsate as it charges. When the charge is finished, the light will remain lit. For me this was around two hours. The included pamphlet does not say how long it lasts on a full charge or how long it can remain idle. A rough estimate would be around an hour and a half on high speed based on my usage. I’ve left the Bcurious untouched for a month and come back to find that it’s still charged.

I’m not sure if this is worth mentioning, but my charger appears to be a universal type. If you look at the photos you’ll see that it comes apart. However, I haven’t found any attachments online for it. Adriana told me that she hers came with a normal American charger, but I’ve seen other photos online with the same type as mine.

The Bcurious is waterproof as long as you make sure that the plug is securely in place. This makes cleanup really easy since I can hold it under hot running water and scrub with mild soap or toy cleaner. You may also use a 10% bleach solution to disinfect the Bcurious, but due to the motor this vibrator cannot be boiled or run through the dishwasher to sterilize.  Common sense really.  After washing and drying Bcurious it can be stored in the included black pouch which is a soft, fluffy jersey material. It’s big enough to stuff your charger into as well, which is what I do.

Recommendation wise I’m not sure if I could justify the price tag $80.00 price tag on this clitoral stimulator, when the Lelo Siri costs the same and features stronger vibrations. Without comparing it to anything else the Bcurious would be great for those who are looking for a rechargeable aesthetically pleasing stimulator housing mid-strength vibrations.

    I agree that the price seems high compared to the vibes.

    It seems the bswish line always falls *just* short of perfection. I love the way this looks, but it is definitely overpriced for the power.

    This is one of those toys that is on my wishlist purely on appearance. I would like to own it, to try it and have it on hand for whenever the urge came about to use it…but I have a feeling that it won’t be a favorite, like most have said. {Contest}
